Step 3: Install the Network
Go your WordPress Admin and navigate to Tools –> Network Setup –> Create a Network of WordPress Sites screen.
Choose the Addresses of Sites in your Network
You have to choose between sub-domains or sub-directories, except when existing settings restrict your choice. I personally picked Sub-domains because 1) I didn’t have a choice 2) It was easier in my mind to map the domains to it.
These are filled in automatically, but you can make changes.
- Server Address: The Parent domain of the URL you are using to access your WordPress installation.
- Network Title: The title of your network as a whole e.g. “My Empire”.
- Admin E-mail Address: Your email address as super admin of the network as a whole (note if this email address is associated with an existing user – it will convert that user to a Super Admin).
Double-check the details and press the Install button.
